It all begins with an idea. Creating the Armory Hype Team came from a desire for us wanting to take our in-house experience to the next level. By hiring students for an exclusive opportunity to gain social media experience, and presentation skills on a grand scale, and present ideas in a fast-paced environment.

Building up the audience experience has been the ultimate goal at The Armory. We like to have our viewers have various experiences depending on whether they are in-house, watching from home, or keeping up via our social media channels. The one thing we want to remain the same is our Armory magic no matter where you are which is where the idea for this concept began.
ARMORY TRIVIA
In many major stadiums, they have interactive fan segments like hat shuffle, trivia, half-court shot for a prize, dancing staff, etc. With the new jumbotron and a hype team, we have an opportunity to change our static "Did You Knows" and shift it to an interactive fan experience:
This segment would be 2.5 minutes in total.
The Hype Team will find 4 fans in the crowd.
Fans will be asked to stay in a certain seat number to be featured on the jumbotron.
With assistance from the jumbotron, the Hype Team will ask the select fan 1 question to win a prize.
Hype team shirts
With our audience being primarily high school students, it was important that the giveaway prizes and uniforms for the Hype Team members related to our athletes and fans. Creating the Hype Team shirts, inspired by New Balance’s soccer jerseys made them recognizable in a crowd and gave them their own personality out on the floor.
